Your next step

Sedation in London, arranged two ways.

For patients

You don’t travel to us. We come to your dentist or surgeon.

If your London dentist or surgeon doesn’t yet offer sedation, you can introduce us, and we’ll arrange it with them.

  • How do I actually get sedation arranged?

In most cases, your dentist or doctor will suggest sedation as part of your treatment and contact us directly — you don't need to organise anything yourself. If they haven't mentioned it, you're welcome to ask; many patients do. And if your practice doesn't currently offer sedation, we have a one-page introduction you can download and pass on, to help start that conversation. See how the whole process works →

  • Why has my dentist or surgeon recommended sedation?

Sedation may be recommended to help you feel more comfortable during treatment, reduce anxiety, improve your overall experience, or make longer and more complex procedures easier to complete. In some cases, it can help patients receive treatment that they may otherwise be unable to tolerate.

  • What is IV conscious sedation?

IV conscious sedation uses carefully controlled medication administered through a small cannula placed in a vein. It helps patients feel deeply relaxed and comfortable during treatment while remaining able to respond to verbal communication. Your wellbeing is continuously monitored throughout the procedure by an experienced sedation clinician.

  • What if I live just outside London?

The Home Counties are part of our core coverage, and our sedationists travel to practices there regularly. See where we work →

For London practices

A regular list or a planned session, at your own practice.

Our sedationist brings the equipment and medication. You keep the patient and the treatment. Sessions of two hours or more work best, so we’ll help you group patients or pair shorter cases into one visit.

  • Which procedures are suitable for sedation?

Most dental treatment (implants, extractions, oral surgery, root canal and complex restorative work) and many minor medical procedures, including endoscopy, cosmetic and plastic surgery, eye surgery, biopsies and minor orthopaedic, urological and gynaecological procedures. If you’re unsure whether a specific case is suitable, our clinical team is happy to advise before you refer. See the full list of procedures →

  • What facilities are required at the practice?

Sedation can be delivered safely within appropriately equipped dental and medical practices. The requirements for dental sedation and medical sedation are different, so what your practice needs depends on the work you do. We cover this during onboarding, where we help practices become sedation compliant and approve them before the first session. Practices and patients are welcome to contact us with any questions, using the details on this website.

  • How do I register my practice?

Registering your practice is straightforward, and our office team will guide you through it. Call us on 020 8643 0913, email office@sedationsolutions.co.uk, or message us on WhatsApp at +44 7908 090770.
